Portraits are painted in oil on a linen panel or stretched canvas.

$160 - 8"x8" (head shot only)
$250 - 9"x12" (single subject only)
$400 - 12'X16"
$550 - 16"x20"
Please add 30% to prices above for 2nd subject.
My portraits are offered in standard traditional sizes which makes framing easy and less expensive.
Your finished commission will be wrapped and shipped via a tracked, insured service. Prices do not include postage which will be charged at cost and will depend on your location.
A deposit of 50% is required to secure a booking (please note that this is not refundable once work on your commission has been started). The balance is paid once the artwork is completed and you are happy.

​Tips for a good reference photo:
What I look for in a good reference is first, high resolution so that each detail can be clearly seen. Second, lighting. The best lighting is low daylight, either by a window or outdoors in low light. Bright afternoon sun is too strong. Early morning or late afternoon sun near dusk is best, or even a cloudy day. Low light is especially important with black animals. Harsh bright lights just do no lend well to dark fur. Thirdly, it's important to have a good clear view of the eyes, therefore never ever use a flash.
